Role & Responsibilities

• Recommend, select and help customers locate or obtain merchandise based on their needs and preferences.
• Maintain familiarity with store inventory to provide accurate product knowledge.
• Greet customers consistently and inform them about current promotions.
• Build customer relationships to encourage repeat business and promote the Saks credit card.
• Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately using the POS register system, following checkout standards.
• Resolve customer issues in line with the core values of trust, integrity and respect.
• Meet individual and store goals for sales, customer acquisition and loyalty program participation.
• Help maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, returning merchandise, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows where needed.
• Complete markdowns urgently and accurately in accordance with company standards.
• Participate in store programs and selling events.
• Maintain merchandise displays in accordance with brand standards.
• Follow Asset Protection control and compliance procedures.
• Support the store's shortage and theft awareness program using company-provided reporting methods.
• Complete tasks and special projects assigned by store leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a retail, customer service or sales environment.
• Proven sales track record and results-driven mindset.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence.
• Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and build exceptional customer relationships.
• Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and passion for sharing expertise.
• Ability to act promptly in routine situations and identify a clear course of action that leads to a positive customer outcome.
• Ability to operate radios, POS registers, ticket scanners and sensor removers.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
