The Sales Associate at Saks OFF 5TH provides personalized customer service, drives sales and loyalty, maintains merchandise presentation, and supports store operations and asset protection. This is a part-time position with an hourly salary range of $15.00–$17.10.

Role & Responsibilities

• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise according to customers’ needs and preferences.
• Maintain familiarity with store inventory and provide knowledgeable product information.
• Greet customers consistently and inform them about current promotions.
• Build customer relationships to encourage repeat business and promote the Saks credit card.
• Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately using the POS register system, in accordance with checkout standards.
• Resolve customer issues in line with the core values of trust, integrity, and respect.
• Meet individual and store goals for sales, customer acquisition, and loyalty program participation.
• Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, putting returned merchandise away, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows as needed.
• Complete markdowns promptly and accurately in accordance with company standards.
• Participate in store programs and selling events.
• Maintain merchandise displays in compliance with brand standards.
• Follow Asset Protection control and compliance procedures.
• Support the store’s shortage and theft awareness program by using company reporting methods.
• Complete tasks and special projects assigned by store leadership efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment.
• A proven sales track record and results-driven mindset.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence.
• Ability to deliver high-standard customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and a passion for sharing that expertise.
• Ability to respond promptly in routine situations and identify a clear course of action that leads to a positive customer outcome.
• Ability to operate radios, POS registers, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 17.10 per hour.
