Role & Responsibilities
- Recommend, source and present merchandise to customers based on needs and preferences to drive conversion.
- Maintain strong product and inventory knowledge to advise clients and locate stock across the store.
- Greet customers consistently, inform them of promotions, and deliver a high standard of customer service.
- Build lasting customer relationships to foster repeat business and promote loyalty programs and Saks credit products.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS register; adhere to checkout and cash-handling standards.
- Achieve individual and store sales goals, customer acquisition targets, and loyalty program participation metrics.
- Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms: execute markdowns, re-size fixtures, put away go-backs and ensure displays meet brand standards.
- Follow Asset Protection procedures and participate in shortage/theft awareness and reporting programs.
- Support store selling events and complete special projects or assigned tasks from store leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service or sales; demonstrated sales results preferred.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate client relationships.
- Thorough knowledge of fashion and an enthusiasm for sharing product expertise.
- Comfort operating retail equipment such as POS register, radios, ticket scanners and sensor removers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete markdowns and merchandising tasks with urgency and accuracy.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Commitment to company values and compliance with loss prevention procedures.
