Role & Responsibilities
- Recommend and locate merchandise tailored to customer needs, delivering informed product guidance and styling suggestions.
- Maintain in‑depth familiarity with store inventory to provide accurate product knowledge and locate items across channels.
- Greet customers consistently, educate them on current promotions, and promote loyalty programs including Saks credit products.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS register and adhere to company checkout standards.
- Resolve customer issues in alignment with the company values of trust, integrity and respect.
- Drive individual and store sales goals, customer acquisition and loyalty participation.
- Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms—resizing fixtures, returning go‑backs, executing markdowns, and performing signage tasks.
- Execute markdowns promptly and accurately according to company procedures.
- Support store programs and selling events and help maintain merchandising and display standards.
- Adhere to Asset Protection control and compliance procedures and support shortage/theft awareness programs.
- Complete special projects and tasks assigned by store leadership; demonstrate flexibility for changing priorities and peak periods.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales environment.
- Proven sales orientation with a results‑driven mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build customer relationships.
- Knowledge of the fashion industry and enthusiasm for product storytelling.
- Ability to act decisively in routine situations and drive resolutions that satisfy customers.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by store scheduling.
