Role & Responsibilities
- Provide sales and customer support on a flexible basis to cover planned and unplanned staffing gaps or increased business activity.
- Recommend, locate and present merchandise tailored to customer needs while maintaining strong product knowledge of store inventory.
- Greet customers consistently, communicate current promotions and foster repeat business through relationship building and Saks credit card promotion.
- Efficiently and accurately process transactions using the POS register and adhere to established checkout standards.
- Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms: execute markdowns, process go‑backs, re‑size fixtures and maintain signage and visual displays to brand standards.
- Support asset protection procedures and report shortages or suspicious activity through company reporting channels.
- Participate in store selling events and complete tasks or special projects assigned by store leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales environments.
- Demonstrable sales orientation with a results‑driven mindset and competitive drive.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture customer relationships.
- Availability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
