Saks OFF 5TH in Garden City, NY seeks a Customer Experience Lead to supervise front‑of‑house operations and drive sales and client service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise front‑of‑house operations, ensuring cashiering coverage and efficient management of customer lines during peak periods.
- Ensure the selling floor is maintained to corporate standards: neatness, merchandising presentation, supply levels and adherence to fast‑to‑floor processes.
- Coach, train and hold selling associates accountable using Connected Coaching to drive KPIs, selling behaviours and brand representation.
- Drive loyalty and acquisition initiatives, including SaksFirst enrolments and Connected Service behaviours, to maximise customer retention and conversion.
- Act as the Connected Service Coach in the Assistant Store Director's absence and mobilise additional associate or management support to resolve customer issues.
- Train and deploy walkie‑talkie coverage to flex staffing in response to customer flow and operational needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; four‑year degree or relevant retail experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1+ years of supervisory experience in a retail environment with comparable volume or demonstrated success leading a selling workforce.
- Proven ability to coach and develop associates to achieve sales and service targets.
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to de‑escalate and resolve customer concerns or escalate appropriately.

Experience
At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience in retail, with a track record of driving sales, delivering customer service excellence and managing operational tasks on a selling floor.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.
