Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary customer service by greeting guests, assessing needs, recommending and locating merchandise, and educating customers on current promotions.
- Execute sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS register and adhere to all checkout standards.
- Build repeat business through relationship-building, customer follow-up, and promotion of the Saks credit offering.
- Maintain selling floor and fitting room standards, including processing go-backs, executing markdowns, signing fixtures, and supporting visual merchandising to brand standards.
- Adhere to Asset Protection procedures and participate in shortage and theft awareness programs, reporting incidents as required.
- Support store selling events and complete special projects or tasks assigned by store leadership with urgency and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail, customer service, or sales environment with a proven, results-driven sales orientation.
- Thorough knowledge of fashion trends and the ability to communicate product expertise to customers.
- Ability to operate retail equipment including POS register, radios, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays and adapt to a fast-paced, changing retail environment.
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment is required; demonstrable sales results and a customer-focused approach are expected.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
