Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct and document investigations of internal and external theft, including identification, detainment and completion of required incident reports.
- Implement and sustain local shortage strategies, perform operational and inventory audits, and deliver audit data and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Maintain and adjust physical security standards, respond to after‑hours alarm calls and emergency incidents, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Communicate Asset Protection best practices to store teams through training, new‑hire orientation, safety and shortage meetings.
- Support selling processes by enforcing loss‑prevention procedures that protect customers, associates and company assets, and complete accident and general liability claim reports.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must satisfy and maintain all applicable state or local licensing requirements; possession of a valid region/market‑specific security license required.
- Demonstrated familiarity with retail procedures and the criminal/civil proceeding process is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and common productivity software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Experience
Prior experience in retail asset protection, loss prevention, or law enforcement investigations is preferred; proven ability to lead investigations, perform operational audits, compile investigative reports and reduce store shortages.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
