Role & Responsibilities
- Execute store‑level asset protection strategies to preserve merchandise and protect customers, associates and company assets.
- Conduct investigations into internal and external theft, apply detention procedures when appropriate and complete thorough incident documentation using established protocols.
- Perform operational and departmental audits, internal self‑audits, and shortage analysis to identify exposures and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of local shortage strategy and participate in shortage and safety meetings, training and new‑hire orientation.
- Maintain and adjust physical security standards, respond to after‑hours alarm calls and emergency situations as required.
- Compile investigative and audit reports, present opportunities for improvement to senior leadership, and support achievement of storewide shortage targets.
- Support store leadership by completing special projects and operational tasks related to asset protection and loss prevention.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must satisfy and maintain all region/market security licensing requirements as mandated by state or local jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of retail procedures, criminal/civil proceeding processes, and retail security best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and competency using retail security/information systems and productivity software.
- Ability to communicate asset protection trends and practices at team and leadership meetings.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays, and to respond to after‑hours incidents.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in retail asset protection, loss prevention, security investigations, or a related security role is preferred; demonstrated ability to conduct investigations, execute audits and prepare investigative reports is expected.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 20.31 to USD 25.39 per hour.
