Saks OFF 5TH seeks an Asset Protection Investigator in Aventura, FL. Full‑time, hourly pay $20.19–$22.60; responsible for loss prevention, investigations and security audits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations of suspected internal and external theft, including evidence collection, interviewing, detainment (where lawful) and completion of incident and arrest documentation.
- Develop and execute local shortage strategies and operational audits to meet company shrink targets and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Monitor and maintain physical security standards across the store; initiate timely adjustments to CCTV, alarms and access controls as required.
- Communicate Asset Protection best practices through team training, new hire orientation and storewide safety and shortage meetings.
- Compile and analyze audit data and investigation reports to identify loss trends and present remediation opportunities to store and regional leadership.
- Respond to after‑hours alarm calls, emergencies and special investigations; partner with store leadership on tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must satisfy and maintain all applicable state or local licensing and security certification requirements.
- Valid region/market specific security license as required by local government regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 2+ years of experience in retail loss prevention, asset protection or security investigations; prior experience with retail investigative processes, civil/criminal reporting and store audit programs is strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 20.19 to USD 22.60 per hour.
