Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the General Office and Jewelry Department, including opening procedures for safe, controller, and registers
- Process morning cash entry, bank deposits, chargeback reconciliation, and register and petty cash counts
- Resolve internal and external customer issues, including billing inquiries and package tracking
- Receive, verify, and properly book all jewelry merchandise in accordance with company standards and shipping guidelines
- Process re-tickets, returns-to-vendor (RTV), transfers, advanced shipping notices (ASN), and price changes
- Retrieve and process merchandise returns and transfers to vendors according to established protocols
- Complete case counts, enter merchandise into the case count system upon receipt, and reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain repair logs, track vendor and local shop repairs, and submit repair invoices
- Receive and verify trunk show merchandise, assist in setup and teardown, and compile show results
- Prepare and submit special order requests and statements of sale as required
- Communicate with corporate merchants, accounts payable, inventory control, and vendors
- Monitor vault and safe contents to maintain audit readiness and comply with Internal Audit standards
- Assist managers and selling floor associates as needed
- Process fulfillment orders and complete ad hoc assignments as directed
Qualifications
- Ability to lift cartons up to 15 lbs, climb ladders, and handle racks and merchandise carts
- Strong proficiency with computer systems including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technology and systems
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for telephone and face-to-face interactions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive issues
- Knowledge of and ability to apply store policies and procedures
Skills
Experience
Experience in retail operations, general office administration, or jewelry retail environments is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in multi-tasking and the ability to manage multiple operational functions simultaneously in a dynamic retail setting.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education or retail operations certification is preferred.
