Neiman Marcus seeks an Executive Sous Chef Manager in Beverly Hills to lead kitchen operations, manage culinary staff, and drive exceptional guest experiences in a luxury retail setting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and document daily food inventories to minimize waste and maintain proper food costs
- Maintain all Health and Sanitation standards in compliance with company policy, local and federal regulations, and third-party auditors
- Check each cook's station daily to monitor preparation readiness for service and oversee plate quality and specifications
- Oversee adherence to Health and Safety standards across all work areas and drive the restaurant to achieve 90% or higher on seasonal shop reports and sanitation evaluations
- Create and execute daily specials and soups by training designated kitchen station roles and monitor, organize, and expedite all plates leaving the kitchen
- Monitor daily food costs to maintain planned percentages, manage inventory amounts, batch invoices, and month-end forecasts in collaboration with supervisors
- Train kitchen workers in respective areas of responsibility and partner with Human Resources on coaching and counseling of kitchen associates
- Communicate daily with restaurant management regarding scheduling, profit and loss reports, upcoming events, and employee-related concerns
- Work closely with front-of-house waitstaff and regional leadership to support smoothly-running kitchen operations and drive professional, courteous environments in all dining rooms
- Manage catering needs for special events, plan and execute special promotions, and maintain current knowledge of culinary trends through professional development
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of relevant culinary or restaurant management experience
- Proven track record achieving business results and leading, motivating, and coaching teams to achieve objectives
- Thorough knowledge of order of service, proper placement of table settings, food, and beverage service according to kitchen specifications
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills with strong interpersonal abilities to advise, counsel, coach, resolve conflict, and negotiate across organizational levels
- Basic financial acumen and understanding of food cost management, menu pricing, and profit and loss reporting

4–6 years of relevant experience in culinary management, kitchen leadership, or fine dining restaurant operations within a luxury hospitality setting
Education
4-year degree preferred; professional culinary training or certification in food service management is advantageous
