Confidential luxury house, Paris — Shipping Manifestor role handling international shipping manifests and logistics documentation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare, validate and finalise shipping manifests and associated transport documentation (house and master bills, packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin) to ensure regulatory and carrier compliance.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers to confirm bookings, pick-ups, cut-offs and arrival windows; proactively resolve discrepancies or delays.
- Generate and transmit Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) to carriers and clients; monitor message acknowledgements and reconcile exceptions.
- Maintain accurate shipment records in the warehouse management system and ERP; update master data and archive physical/digital documentation following company retention policies.
- Perform quality checks of packing lists and carton-level data against purchase orders and pick/pack reports; raise and follow up on claims for lost/damaged freight.
- Collaborate with Inventory Control, Export/Import Compliance and Customer Service teams to support audits, customs inquiries and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Apply standard operating procedures for hazardous, ATF/controlled or high-value shipments and escalate unusual consignments to senior logistics staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum vocational diploma or equivalent in logistics, supply chain or transport operations; secondary education with logistics certification acceptable with relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of international shipping documentation and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with customs formalities and export/import compliance for high-value goods.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail; ability to work under time-sensitive shipping deadlines.

Experience
Typically 1–3 years of hands-on experience in warehouse, freight forwarding or shipping operations, preferably with exposure to international exports and luxury or high-value product handling.
Education
Vocational diploma or secondary education with certification in logistics, transport or supply-chain management; equivalent professional experience accepted.
