Saks Direct seeks Senior Labor & Employment Counsel in San Francisco. Lead employment law strategy and litigation for luxury retail leader.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal guidance on labor and employment matters across the organization
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution related to employment claims
- Advise on employment contracts, severance agreements, and compensation matters
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Conduct training and develop policies related to workplace conduct and legal compliance
- Represent the company in negotiations with labor unions and employee representatives
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum 10 years of experience in labor and employment law
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment legislation
- Proven experience managing complex employment litigation
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in labor and employment law, including substantive experience with litigation, regulatory compliance, and strategic employment matters in a corporate or in-house counsel setting.
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; active bar admission in a relevant jurisdiction required.
