Senior Associate, General Accounting at Exemplar Luxury Group in India. Lead GL operations, month-end close, and financial reconciliation. Full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and perform day-to-day general ledger accounting activities including cash and bank entries, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations
- Oversee and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations in accordance with internal controls and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
- Analyze financial data and variances, providing insights and resolving discrepancies as needed
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and detailed documentation
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and FP&A to ensure consistent financial data
- Manage and analyze real estate accounts and balances, ensuring consistency in reconciliation
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate processes to increase accuracy and reduce manual work
- Serve as a subject matter expert to coordinate process activities and strengthen process understanding and control
Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in general ledger or financial accounting roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal controls
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and lookups
- Experience in multinational or shared services environments
- Exposure to financial reporting tools such as Hyperion or Power BI

Experience
4–6 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting or financial accounting roles, with demonstrated expertise in month-end and quarter-end close processes, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Education
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
