Role & Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 technical support for POS and payment applications across all retail store systems
• Monitor log files, system alerts, dashboards, and notifications to identify and respond to application issues
• Diagnose and resolve transaction failures, performance degradation, and service-related problems including Pin Pad functionality
• Test new versions and patches prior to production deployment
• Participate in rotating on-call schedules for off-hour and weekend support coverage
• Conduct root cause analysis for high-volume recurring incidents and develop preventive measures to reduce incident volume
• Create and maintain technical support documentation used by development and support teams
• Collaborate with development teams to architect new solutions and evaluate long-term supportability
• Lead troubleshooting and problem investigation sessions for critical issues
• Communicate issue details and resolution status to technical and business stakeholders
• Develop automation solutions and process improvements for operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related engineering discipline
• 4–8 years of professional experience in application support or systems administration
• Proven experience supporting large-scale distributed POS and payment applications in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Windows operating systems, batch scripting, and Unix/Linux
• Advanced SQL and database knowledge, including Oracle basics
• Commercial experience with version control systems, particularly Git, in large development teams
• Proficiency in IIS, PowerShell scripting, and production support (L1/L2 levels)
• Solid command of C#, .NET, and SQL database technologies
• Experience with Python scripting
• Ability to work in rotating shift patterns including first and second shifts

Experience

4–8 years of experience in production application support, systems administration, or technical troubleshooting roles. Demonstrated expertise in supporting mission-critical retail systems with high transaction volumes. Proven ability to work effectively in shift-based support environments and manage on-call rotations. Strong track record of root cause analysis and driving recurring issues to closure through cross-functional collaboration.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related engineering discipline required.
