Saks Global seeks a Senior Analyst to drive business performance through the design, development, and execution of world-class merchandising technology solutions. Reporting to the Merchandising Systems team, this role focuses on building scalable systems that support retail operations and enable data-driven merchandising decisions. The incumbent will monitor system environments proactively, conduct root cause analyses of complex issues, foster technical excellence, and coordinate cross-departmental incident management and maintenance activities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor system environments to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting service levels
- Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems affecting merchandising systems
- Drive the highest levels of customer service and operational stability across merchandising technology infrastructure
- Foster technical and procedural excellence within the IT department for merchandising systems and processes
- Coordinate with cross-functional IT departments to facilitate requirements, align objectives, and manage incidents
- Participate in after-hours escalations and maintenance activities as required
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with a focus on user experience and operational efficiency
- Interpret data and drive actionable insights to support merchandising strategy and business outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, B.E, B.Tech, or M.Tech specialization
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in software development
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripting
- Proficiency in Python development
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, with preference for AWS
- Strong understanding of retail merchandising processes including planning, buying, allocation, and replenishment
- Experience implementing or supporting merchandising or ERP systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Experience
Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5+ years of specialized expertise in PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripting. Demonstrated experience implementing or supporting merchandising or ERP systems in a retail environment is essential. Exposure to campaign execution tools, product lifecycle management, and data governance is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, B.E, B.Tech, or M.Tech in a related specialization.
