Role & Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop sales associates with emphasis on building strong talent pipelines and bench strength
  • Train direct reports on product knowledge, selling techniques, clienteling tools, and brand standards through ongoing education initiatives
  • Establish and enforce performance accountability across the team, providing regular feedback and coaching on professional development opportunities
  • Conduct performance evaluations and calibrate compensation and recognition fairly, addressing performance gaps with targeted improvement strategies
  • Develop team members' personal brand as fashion authorities through social media engagement, influencer networking, and client base expansion
  • Maintain high floor visibility to model exceptional service, coach selling behaviors, and facilitate client appointments that maximize results
  • Execute all client development initiatives in-store, collaborating with store leadership, marketing, vendors, and merchants to identify and engage top clients
  • Analyze client spend data and shopping patterns to identify opportunities for increased wallet share and repeat business
  • Drive new client acquisition and strengthen existing relationships through proactive outreach, social media platforms, referrals, and networking
  • Oversee scheduling and daily task prioritization while managing department controls and stockroom compliance
  • Establish well-developed operational plans, anticipate risks and roadblocks, and adjust execution to maintain excellence
  • Track progress against departmental strategies and sales goals, leveraging business data and industry trends to identify opportunities
  • Resolve customer and team conflicts promptly and fairly, empowering direct reports to take ownership of problem resolution
  • Champion change initiatives within the team and communicate clearly on benefits and challenges to stakeholders
  • Share best practices, new ideas, and market insights with the team to drive continuous improvement in business performance

Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Proven track record of success managing a selling and operations workforce and achieving measurable business results
  • Proficiency with clienteling tools, social media platforms, and Google Workspace applications (advanced proficiency preferred)
  • Demonstrated history of building, leading, motivating, and coaching teams to achieve objectives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to structure messages logically using appropriate mediums
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high personal and environmental standards
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 10 pounds as required
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
