Role & Responsibilities
- Champion the vision and culture of Bergdorf Goodman while maintaining brand loyalty to both the retailer and vendor partners
- Increase sales growth and overall department performance in alignment with company vision and values
- Oversee all merchandise-related operations, including presentation standards, returns, damages, and vendor/merchant communication
- Lead team execution across all department functions, identifying and addressing risks or operational roadblocks
- Contribute to store-wide strategic goals by establishing departmental priorities and building aligned projects
- Partner with Buyers to review business performance and implement action plans to improve results
- Collaborate with Client Development Leads to establish and execute client engagement strategies
- Analyze customer behavior, trends, and feedback to inform and adapt department strategies and focus programs
- Plan and manage the departmental budget, ensuring adherence to expense guidelines while maximizing revenue
- Enforce audit compliance and maintain department and stockroom operational controls
- Lead, develop, and manage team performance to achieve business and service objectives
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in luxury retail or fashion
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven track record of achieving business goals
- Experience building, leading, motivating, and coaching high-performing teams
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Product Suite (advanced proficiency preferred)
- Physical capability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 10 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
