Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalized service to high-net-worth and discerning clientele to convert interactions into sales and long-term relationships.
- Proactively build and maintain a client portfolio through outreach, follow-up and appointment setting.
- Achieve or exceed individual sales targets within a commission-based compensation structure.
- Present merchandise with impeccable product knowledge and styling recommendations; maintain up-to-date familiarity with seasonal assortments and designer stories.
- Operate point-of-sale systems, process transactions accurately and handle cash/cards in accordance with store policies.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards on the selling floor, ensure presentation and stock are replenished, and assist with inventory counts and loss-prevention measures.
- Support in-store events, trunk shows and private client appointments as required, including flexible hours and weekend coverage.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in luxury retail or high-end sales, with a demonstrable record of meeting sales targets preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; aptitude for building rapport with affluent clients.
- Comfort and proven success with a commission-driven compensation model and variable income structure.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and presentation befitting a luxury retail environment.
- Availability for flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and holiday periods.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 1+ years of direct sales experience in luxury retail, department stores or boutique environments with evidence of achieving sales targets and cultivating repeat clientele.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary study in fashion, merchandising or business is advantageous.
