Role & Responsibilities
- Serve assigned seating sections in a professional and gracious manner consistent with Neiman Marcus luxury service standards
- Provide detailed menu information and recommendations, utilizing thorough knowledge of food preparation, culinary terminology, wine, beer, and spirits
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems and authorized payment methods while adhering to established accounting procedures
- Execute pre-shift and post-shift duties as assigned, including setup and breakdown of dining areas
- Maintain exceptional hygiene and presentation standards, including uniform maintenance and personal grooming
- Clean and maintain restaurant workstations and dining areas to the highest standards
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and coordinate scheduling changes with management
- Handle multiple duties simultaneously while interacting graciously with guests and addressing service needs
- Perform physical duties including lifting objects up to 35 pounds, standing, bending, and climbing stairs
Qualifications
- Experience in food and beverage service with knowledge of proper table service guidelines
- Thorough understanding of order of service and correct placement of table settings, china, glassware, and flatware
- Comprehensive knowledge of food, culinary preparation methods, and wine/spirit service procedures
- Demonstrated ability to interact graciously with diverse clientele and handle multiple responsibilities concurrently
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 35 pounds, and perform bending and stair climbing
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in upscale food and beverage service environments is strongly preferred, with demonstrated proficiency in fine dining service protocols and professional table service standards.
