Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain table setup and cleanliness in the dining room, including clearing and resetting tables between seatings
- Deliver popovers, butter, and water to guests; assist with food and beverage delivery as indicated by kitchen tickets
- Maintain bus stations and beverage service areas, ensuring adequate stocking of glasses, flatware, and linens
- Learn and navigate table numbers and sections within the dining area for efficient service delivery
- Assist kitchen and service staff with supplementary requests, plate restocking, to-go order preparation, and expediter station setup
- Refill guest beverages and transport food from kitchen to dining room as needed
- Prepare the dining room with essential items including coffee, iced tea, and ice prior to service
- Execute pre-shift, post-shift, and daily/weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
- Participate in daily pre-shift team meetings
- Maintain highest hygiene and appearance standards, including clean uniform, styled hair and nails, and appropriate footwear
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, and arranging dining furniture and equipment
- Clean and sanitize restaurant workstations and areas to maintain health code standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Demonstrated experience in food and beverage service with knowledge of proper table service guidelines
- Knowledge of proper placement of china, glassware, and flatware for formal table settings
- Thorough understanding of order of service and alignment with kitchen tickets and service guidelines
- Working knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology
- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift/carry up to 35 pounds regularly
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands
Skills
Experience
Experience in food and beverage service, particularly in upscale dining environments, with familiarity with formal table service guidelines and protocols. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting.
Education
High school diploma or GED preferred.
