Role & Responsibilities
- Serve assigned seating section with professionalism and grace consistent with Neiman Marcus hospitality standards
- Provide detailed information about menu items, food preparation, and culinary offerings to guests
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits to enhance guest experience and facilitate beverage recommendations
- Manage multiple service duties simultaneously while maintaining gracious interaction with guests
- Execute pre-shift meetings, post-shift duties, and weekly service tasks as directed by management
- Maintain accurate transaction records and POS system entries for all authorized payment methods
- Perform physical duties including setup and breakdown of dining areas, lifting and arranging furniture and table settings
- Maintain rigorous hygiene standards and ensure proper grooming and uniform presentation
- Manage scheduling integrity, punctuality, and coordination of time-off requests with operational needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Demonstrated experience in fine dining food and beverage service and proper table service guidelines
- Thorough knowledge of order of service and correct placement of place settings, china, glassware, and flatware
- Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation, ingredients, and culinary terminology
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and transaction processing
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business requirements
