Restaurant Host position in Coral Gables, Florida. Greet guests, manage reservations, and coordinate front-of-house operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet arriving guests with warmth and professionalism, establishing a positive first impression
- Manage the host stand, including seating assignments and table management to optimize guest flow and dining experience
- Answer incoming telephone calls and address guest inquiries with courtesy and efficiency
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and timely table turnover
- Maintain accurate reservation records and manage the waitlist in accordance with restaurant policies
- Provide guests with menus and communicate current specials or promotional offerings
Qualifications
- Customer service experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Professional demeanor and ability to remain composed under pressure
- Fluency in English; bilingual skills preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the establishment
