Role & Responsibilities
- Develop productive partnerships with Saks Global stores, Buyers, and Planners focused on high-volume and high-potential strategic merchandise opportunities
- Capture merchandise feedback from store visits, corroborate recommendations with data, and develop action plans including category expansion, floor productivity, and brand matrix edits
- Identify merchandise category opportunities in key markets utilizing evolving customer, market, and competitive trends
- Provide Saks Global stores and executives with custom reporting and presentations for seasonal launches, category initiatives, and store relayer proposals
- Assist in preparing weekly business reviews for stores in collaboration with senior leadership
- Hold stakeholders accountable to execute action plans and deliver results, reporting outcomes to pertinent leadership in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail merchandising and planning
- Prior store-line management experience preferred
- Strong business and financial analysis skills with demonstrated mastery of retail math
- Proven ability to assess and address challenges and develop strategic action plans
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to persuade stakeholders
- Ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of an organization
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in retail merchandising and planning. Prior store-line management experience is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in business and financial analysis with strong retail mathematics competency. Proven track record of developing strategic recommendations, executing action plans, and managing stakeholder relationships across multiple organizational levels.
Education
College degree preferred.
