Saks Global seeks Regional Director, People Business Partner in California to lead West Region HR strategy for Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. $166K–$216K.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement people strategy and initiatives across the 14 West Region stores, driving organizational change and new structural development
- Leverage people analytics and KPIs to guide regional people strategy in partnership with the VP, People Business Partner
- Act as executive coach to the Regional Vice President and store leadership, providing formal and informal development counsel on complex issues and escalations
- Proactively source and identify executive talent (internal and external candidates) in partnership with the Regional Vice President and store leadership
- Ensure all stores deliver associate training and development initiatives, including new hire orientation and service behavior training according to company standards
- Drive people-related decisions by analyzing sales and HR data, while identifying process improvements and efficiencies
- Collaborate with specialized groups including compensation, benefits, legal, associate relations, people technology, and operations to create and execute new initiatives
- Foster a diverse, inclusive, and engaged organizational culture while acting as a customer champion internally and externally
Qualifications
- 10+ years of HR experience, preferably with multi-unit responsibility and strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements across all HR disciplines
- Post-secondary degree or certification in HR or a related field, or equivalent work experience in luxury retail
- Proven experience coaching, developing, and providing counsel to multiple management levels, including senior leadership
- Strong customer focus, business acumen, influence, strategic vision, and inspiring communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments
- Excellent relationship-building and trust-building abilities with colleagues and peers
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace programs
Skills
Experience
10+ years of HR experience with multi-unit responsibility, preferably in a luxury retail environment. Demonstrated experience coaching and developing senior leadership and multiple management levels. Background in executing people strategy across complex, multi-location organizations.
Education
Post-secondary degree or certification in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent professional HR experience.
