The Product and Sample Operations Supervisor oversees sample lifecycles and item go-live workflows, coordinating vendors, merchants, studio teams, and digital partners to ensure luxury merchandise is photographed, accurately attributed, and published on schedule. The role manages item setup, vendor data, sample flow, reporting, and special projects. Role & Responsibilities
- Work proactively with vendors to ensure merchandise is photographed and copy attributes are complete eight weeks before the go-live date, including launch, pre-order, or start-ship dates.
- Maintain the Master Sample Tracking Sheet for each product purchased by ELG, organized by fashion season.
- Set up and maintain all items in the product management system.
- Prepare items for studio turn-in.
- Coordinate with item setup, buying office, studio, and creative teams to ensure products are published on time.
- Manage sample flow and the turn-in schedule proactively to minimize workflow peaks and valleys.
- Support the Manager and Director with Sample Management projects, including European shoots, VPI, time studies, and physical inventory.
- Provide daily workflow summary status reports and project progress updates to the Manager or Director.
- Complete ad hoc projects and data entry.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in e-commerce retail operations, merchandising, or digital studio coordination.
- Assertive and diplomatic vendor management skills, with persistence in retrieving missing product data under tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving instincts, and the ability to reprioritize quickly in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
