Saks Fifth Avenue seeks People Business Partner Manager (NY Flagship) to drive talent development, recruitment, and HR strategy—$103k–$139k annual salary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute tailored people strategies for assigned client groups, encompassing coaching, career development, internal movement, and succession planning for exempt associates
- Conduct comprehensive talent assessments to identify high-potential employees and align top talent with strategic business priorities
- Partner with the Learning & Development team to identify and address skill gaps through targeted training interventions
- Serve as executive coach to the management team, enhancing leadership effectiveness and driving team engagement
- Oversee implementation of the Performance Management Process to ensure accountability and elevate executive talent
- Collaborate with Corporate Recruiting to ensure efficient job filling and actively participate in interviews for all store positions
- Lead and champion a culture where recruitment is a shared responsibility across the organization to reduce open positions and time-to-fill
- Act as a change agent to support cultural transitions aligned with strategic initiatives
- Ensure effective rollout and implementation of corporate HR initiatives and policies
- Partner with Employee Relations Service Center to resolve escalated employee relations issues
- Ensure organizational compliance with company-wide HR policies on benefits, compensation, and employment law
- Oversee recruitment and development of top sellers to achieve year-over-year growth of Million Dollar Books
- Provide strategic HR consultation and leverage Centers of Excellence as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5–7 years of related HR experience in retail or other fast-paced service and selling environments, demonstrating roles of increasing responsibility
- Proven recruitment experience
- Strong understanding of employment law and regulatory requirements
- Strong business acumen and retail industry knowledge
- Demonstrated experience with executive coaching and development
- People management experience
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills with ability to influence without damaging relationships
- Proven track record of driving positive outcomes through objectives and measurable results in large, complex organizations
- Creative and innovative problem-solving capabilities

5–7 years of related HR experience in retail or other fast-paced service and selling environments, with progressively increasing responsibility and volume. Prior experience in training and onboarding is preferred.
