Confidential luxury house — Paris: Payroll Associate role responsible for end‑to‑end payroll processing, compliance and employee support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute end‑to‑end payroll processing for assigned employee populations, ensuring accurate gross‑to‑net calculations and timely payments.
- Prepare, validate and distribute payslips and payroll reports while maintaining audit trails and payroll documentation.
- Reconcile payroll entries with general ledger and liaise with finance to resolve discrepancies.
- Calculate and report social security, tax withholdings and other statutory contributions in accordance with local legislation.
- Respond to employee and HR queries regarding pay, deductions, benefits and payroll procedures in a timely and confidential manner.
- Support month‑end and year‑end payroll closing activities, including tax reporting and annual reconciliations.
- Collaborate with HR, benefits and legal teams to implement payroll changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, leaves, expatriation adjustments).
- Maintain and update payroll configuration in HR/payroll systems and assist with system testing and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, payroll, human resources or equivalent.
- Practical knowledge of local payroll legislation, social security and tax regulations (France).
- Demonstrable experience with payroll systems and strong Excel proficiency.
- High level of discretion and adherence to data protection requirements.
- Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both French and English.

Experience
1–3 years of hands‑on payroll experience, preferably within an international or multi‑entity environment; prior exposure to luxury retail, fashion or multi‑jurisdictional payroll operations is an advantage.
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, payroll or human resources, or equivalent professional qualification.
