Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee associates in various roles across departments.
- Review quality performance scores and coach associates as needed.
- Update the department communication board to assign workloads, evaluate workload levels, and adjust resources as needed.
- Recruit, interview, and hire associates.
- Maintain daily productivity and metric goals, and monitor department attendance.
- Coach, motivate, and counsel associates as needed.
- Provide training and information to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Proactively cross-train associates and maintain detailed records of each associate’s skill set.
- Plan daily workflow, assignments, and priorities.
- Coordinate with other departments to manage facility flow and meet distribution goals.
- Keep the manager informed about department activities and issues.
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed and maintain a culture of safety in the work area.
- Complete assigned administrative tasks.
- Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, at least two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May occasionally be required to stoop, bend, or kneel.
