Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts by SKU, channel and region to inform purchasing and allocation decisions.
- Manage inventory optimisation and replenishment cadence to maximise sell-through while minimising markdown exposure.
- Own the merchandise planning calendar and collaborate with buying, wholesale, retail and supply-chain teams to align inventory with commercial strategy.
- Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, translating sales targets into inventory and production plans.
- Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to support assortment decisions, price/promotional planning and inventory commitments.
- Produce regular performance reports and KPI dashboards (sell-through, weeks of supply, GMROI) for commercial leadership.
- Partner with allocation and store operations to distribute product according to demand signals and strategic priorities.
- Support margin and stock turn objectives through close monitoring of ageing stock and coordinated markdown strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven commercial acumen with a track record of translating sales targets into inventory plans.
- Strong analytical capability with attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills; able to influence cross-functional teams including buying, supply chain and retail operations.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (French, Italian) advantageous for regional coordination.
- Authorization to work in the job location.
Skills
Experience
Typically requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience in merchandise planning, demand planning or inventory management within apparel, luxury goods, or fashion retail. Prior exposure to wholesale and multi-channel retail environments is highly valued.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline; advanced degree or specialised planning certification advantageous.
