Manager Merchandise Operations at a leading luxury fashion house in Paris — responsible for assortment, allocation and inventory optimisation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end merchandise operations for assigned categories, including assortment execution, allocation, replenishment and inventory optimisation across channels.
- Translate commercial business plans into operational processes; execute seasonal rollouts, launches and SKU lifecycle management.
- Partner with buying, planning and supply chain teams to align inventory flows with demand forecasts and promotional calendars.
- Define and monitor operational KPIs (sell-through, weeks of supply, stock-to-sales, markdown rates) and implement corrective actions.
- Manage allocation rules and automated replenishment parameters; continuously refine algorithms and thresholds to reduce stockouts and overstocks.
- Coordinate with wholesale and retail teams to ensure channel-specific assortment compliance and product cadence.
- Own cross-functional execution of product launches, including POS readiness, merchandising instructions and store/online allocations.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements; act as primary liaison with IT and external vendors for merchandising systems integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, fashion merchandising, supply chain, economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in merchandising operations, merchandise planning or inventory management within fashion, luxury or retail.
- Proven ability to translate commercial strategy into operational workflows and measurable results.
- Strong analytical aptitude with demonstrated experience using data to inform allocation and replenishment decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills; experience leading projects with buying, planning, logistics and retail teams.

At least 5 years of relevant experience in merchandising operations, merchandise planning or inventory management within the fashion, luxury or specialty retail sector, with a track record of improving inventory efficiency and supporting commercial growth.
Education
