Confidential luxury fashion house — Paris — Merchandising Operations Associate position supporting assortment planning, inventory and merchandising analytics.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support merchandising and buying teams with weekly and seasonal assortment planning, inventory allocation and purchase order administration.
- Produce and maintain commercial reports and dashboards to track sell-through, stock cover, open-to-buy and key merchandising KPIs.
- Execute ERP/PLM data maintenance: upload product information, pricing, cost structures and seasonal attributes; ensure data integrity across systems.
- Coordinate with supply chain, planning and retail operations to monitor deliveries, manage discrepancies and accelerate replenishment where required.
- Prepare pack summaries, allocation runs and store-level distribution recommendations based on historical performance and market trends.
- Assist in promotional planning, markdown simulations and post-campaign analysis to optimise margins and stock levels.
- Support cross‑functional projects (new range launches, range resets, channel segmentation) and ad-hoc commercial analyses for buyers and planners.
Qualifications
- Proven analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical literacy.
- Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills; ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced retail calendar.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience liaising across buying, supply chain, planning and retail teams.
- Ability to translate commercial objectives into actionable operational tasks and accurate system inputs.

Experience
Typically 2+ years of hands-on experience in merchandising operations, merchandise planning, retail analytics or a related commercial role within fashion, luxury or premium retail environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, Economics or equivalent practical experience.
