Saks Global seeks a Maintenance Technician at its distribution facility (ECDC). Hourly position ($25.00–$31.25/hr) supporting equipment repair and facility maintenance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all established safety procedures and protocols
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation and record-keeping
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and associated systems
- Maintain positive working relationships across all operations facility departments and staff
- Track and manage department inventory of parts and supplies
- Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment throughout the distribution facility
- Operate conveyor systems, forklifts, and related material handling equipment as needed
- Lift and transport items up to 50 lbs regularly, with capability to push and pull wheeled dollies up to 100 lbs during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment
- 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading
- 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
- Background or experience in conveyor and forklift operation and repair
- Understanding and knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) information
Skills
Experience
2+ years of hands-on experience with automated conveyor systems, controls, and material handling equipment repair in distribution or industrial environments. Demonstrated expertise in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent qualification required.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 25 to USD 31.25 per hour.
