Confidential luxury brand in New York seeks a Loading Dock Associate to manage receiving, shipping and inventory for a high-end retail operation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, unload and inspect inbound shipments for accuracy and product condition; report and quarantine discrepancies or damages.
- Stage, palletize and move goods between receiving, storage and sales-floor staging areas using appropriate equipment (pallet jack, hand truck, forklift where licensed).
- Operate RF barcode scanners and the warehouse management system to update receipts, putaways and inventory transactions promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and stage outbound shipments, ensuring correct documentation, labelling and carrier handover according to company procedures.
- Perform cycle counts, basic inventory reconciliation and assist with periodic full stocktakes to support inventory integrity.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised dock and back-of-house environment in compliance with health, safety and brand standards.
- Coordinate with logistics providers, store operations and procurement to prioritise inbound/outbound flows during peak periods.
- Adhere to security protocols for receipt and dispatch of high-value merchandise and assist with loss-prevention efforts.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks: lifting, pushing and carrying heavy loads repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Valid forklift license/certification preferred where required by local regulation; demonstrated safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Proven ability to follow detailed packing lists, shipping documentation and inventory procedures with high accuracy.
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings or weekend shifts as operational needs dictate.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with company security and safety training requirements.

Experience
Preferably 1–3 years of experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving, or logistics operations; prior experience handling high-value or luxury goods is an advantage.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
