Role & Responsibilities

  • Alter constructed garments to meet or exceed Neiman Marcus quality standards, including seam adjustments, shoulder repositioning, and chest reduction
  • Perform specialized alterations such as sleeve rotation and shortening, collar modification, and shoulder squaring
  • Execute coat alterations including shortening, relining, and pocket reconstruction on both interior and exterior elements
  • Operate and maintain all sewing equipment to professional standards
  • Conduct rigorous self-inspection of completed work to ensure compliance with brand quality benchmarks
  • Collaborate with fitters and supervisory personnel to interpret fit requirements and assess fabric alterability
  • Execute alterations and tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
  • Interpret and respond to written and oral instructions from management and supervisory staff
