Host position at luxury restaurant in Sofia, Bulgaria. Manage dining reservations, guest seating, and front-of-house hospitality operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet arriving guests with warmth and professionalism, offering a sophisticated welcome experience
- Manage the reservation book and optimize table arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Coordinate seating assignments while accounting for dining preferences, special occasions, and venue capacity constraints
- Maintain composure and grace during high-volume service periods, ensuring seamless guest flow throughout the restaurant
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to coordinate service timing and special guest requirements
- Monitor guest comfort and address concerns with diplomatic finesse, escalating complex issues to management when necessary
- Maintain impeccable appearance and grooming standards consistent with luxury hospitality protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a host or maître d'hôtel capacity within an upscale hospitality environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Demonstrated composure and discretion when managing challenging situations
- Proficiency in reservation management systems and point-of-sale platforms
- Fluency in English; additional languages strongly preferred

Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of hospitality experience in a fine dining or luxury restaurant setting, ideally in a host or similar front-of-house leadership role.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training or certification (e.g., ServSafe, sommelier basics) is advantageous but not required.
