Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate food items for daily menus and special events while maintaining quality standards and cost profitability
- Control and monitor daily and weekly food inventories using production sheets and order documentation
- Communicate supply needs and special order requirements with head cook and supervisor
- Prepare menu items according to specifications, using build-to sheets to manage portion control and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health codes and Neiman Marcus standards
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and promptly report malfunctions to designated personnel
- Verify special orders with appropriate associates and maintain timely order communication
- Close and sanitize work area according to health code requirements and prepare for next-day production
- Uphold all health and sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and third-party auditors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of professional cooking or food preparation experience
- Strong understanding of food safety and health code compliance
