Role & Responsibilities
- Execute weekly preventive maintenance on all building equipment and structural envelopes, maintaining comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspection logs
- Complete and oversee mandatory inspections of facility equipment including vertical transportation systems, boilers, generators, and HVAC installations
- Order maintenance supplies and collaborate with Regional Manager to manage and control maintenance expense accounts
- Maintain and coordinate all building energy management systems through Trane Ensemble Software, including lighting system optimization
- Provide technical support to store systems, including Point of Sale (POS) and telecommunications infrastructure
- Support kitchen team operations by maintaining food service equipment
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls and manage overtime as required
- Adapt work schedule to accommodate peak retail periods, particularly Black Friday through mid-January, with minimal time off
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance or building systems management
- Knowledge of vertical transportation, HVAC, boiler, and generator systems
- Familiarity with energy management software and building automation systems
- Understanding of Point of Sale and telecommunications infrastructure
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and on-call emergency shifts
Skills
Experience
Proficiency in building maintenance operations and facilities systems is required. Experience with large commercial retail environments or similar institutional facilities is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in HVAC, building systems, or related field is strongly preferred.
