Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with management to develop and execute comprehensive e-commerce category strategies aligned with business objectives and online sales targets
- Collaborate with merchandising and buying teams to influence product assortment, productivity, and inventory optimization
- Ensure merchandising excellence through best-practice execution including navigation optimization, product arrays, search results optimization, featured item placement, and strategic linking
- Maintain effective product categorization, filtering, and navigation systems to enhance user experience and partnering with ISU to implement changes
- Ensure product information accuracy and consistency across all online touchpoints and digital channels
- Track, analyze, and report on key category and brand performance metrics including sales, conversion rates, average order value, traffic, and bounce rates
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain competitive positioning
- Work closely with buying and merchandising teams to align online and offline strategies and ensure optimal product availability
- Collaborate with digital experience teams to implement website enhancements, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize site performance
- Fields ad hoc analytical requests, synthesizes large data sets into digestible insights, and proactively delivers strategic recommendations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in category management, preferably in an e-commerce environment (experience in retail buying, merchandising, or digital marketing also valued)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, functionalities, and best practices
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret data, draw meaningful conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
