Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver scheduled and ad-hoc guided tours that communicate the maison’s history, craftsmanship and collections with accuracy and narrative flair.
  • Adapt tour content and tone for diverse audiences — private clients, trade professionals, press, schools and VIP visitors — while preserving curator-approved messages.
  • Collaborate with curatorial and education teams to remain current on exhibitions, acquisitions and interpretive materials.
  • Manage group logistics during visits: timekeeping, visitor flow, basic crowd control and adherence to conservation and safety protocols.
  • Support special events, private viewings and client hospitality initiatives, including bespoke tour scripting when required.
  • Collect and report visitor feedback, attendance data and recurring enquiries to inform programming and interpretation.
  • Represent the institution with polished service standards, maintaining professional presentation and confidentiality when required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication and public-speaking skills with the ability to engage varied audiences.
