Role & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the commercial dish machine, including monitoring chemical levels and ensuring proper functionality
- Clean and organize the dish area, maintaining all cleaning solutions and materials for pots, pans, sinks, and flatware
- Wash dishes, flatware, glassware, pots, and pans at a consistent pace while exercising care with breakables
- Maintain floors free of spills, grease, and debris throughout the kitchen area
- Monitor and remove trash periodically throughout service
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef
- Keep chemical testers on hand and maintain knowledge of all sanitizing materials
- Adhere strictly to all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Bergdorf Goodman, local Health Department, and third-party sanitation auditors
- Assist with kitchen preparation and additional cleaning tasks as needed
- Maintain professional relationships with line cooks, coworkers, chefs, and front-of-house staff
