Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain dish, trash, and floor areas to the highest health and kitchen standards
- Operate and maintain the dish machine, including monitoring chemical levels and reporting malfunctions
- Wash and organize all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware with consistent pace and care
- Monitor trash and remove when full
- Keep floors clean from spills, grease, and general debris
- Organize dish area with all solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silver
- Exercise caution when handling breakables such as dishes and glassware
- Assist with kitchen preparation and additional cleaning tasks as needed
- Maintain professional relationships with line cooks, coworkers, culinary staff, and front-of-house personnel
- Uphold all health and sanitation standards set by Neiman Marcus, local health authorities, and third-party sanitation auditors
- Know and apply proper use of all sanitizing materials and chemical testers
Qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously
- Physical capability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds regularly
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
- Motivated and results-driven approach with a collaborative team mentality
