Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of dish, trash, and floor areas to highest health and kitchen standards
- Operate and maintain the dish machine, including monitoring chemical levels, testing sanitization, and reporting malfunctions to management
- Wash and organize all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware at an efficient pace while exercising caution with breakables
- Keep floors clear of spills, grease, and debris to ensure safe working conditions
- Monitor and empty trash containers regularly
- Assist with kitchen preparation and additional cleaning tasks as directed
- Maintain professional relationships with all kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Uphold all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and third-party sanitation auditors
Qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously with strong motivation and attention to detail
- Physical capability to stand, bend, lift, and carry up to 35 pounds regularly
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
- Familiarity with food service sanitation standards and chemical sanitizers preferred
Skills
Experience
Entry-level dishwashing experience in a high-volume restaurant setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no formal culinary training required.
