Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal cleanliness of dish, trash, and floor areas according to health and kitchen standards
- Monitor and maintain the dish machine, including checking chemical levels and ensuring proper functionality
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef
- Maintain proficiency with all sanitizing materials and chemical testers required for hygiene protocols
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, flatware, and glassware at a consistent pace while exercising care with breakables
- Periodically check trash receptacles and remove full waste containers
- Organize the dish area with all necessary solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silverware
- Keep kitchen floors clean and free of spills, grease, and debris
- Assist with food preparation and supplementary kitchen cleaning as directed
- Maintain professional relationships with kitchen staff, line cooks, chefs, and front-of-house personnel
- Uphold all health and sanitation standards as set by Neiman Marcus, local health departments, and third-party sanitation auditors
