Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central operational coordinator for the Bergdorf Goodman store People team, ensuring consistent execution of HR processes across locations.
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding logistics and new-hire administration from offer acceptance through first day.
  • Process HR transactions in the HRIS (new hires, terminations, transfers, job changes, leaves of absence) and maintain audit‑ready employee records.
  • Act as first point of contact for employee inquiries about HR policies, benefits, payroll and people processes; triage and route more complex matters to CoEs or People partners.
  • Support offboarding, including exit interviews, separation paperwork, and timely system updates.
  • Maintain accurate workforce data; prepare regular and ad hoc HR reports (headcount, turnover, compliance) and track key HR deadlines (performance reviews, I‑9 compliance, open roles).
  • Coordinate recruiting logistics with Talent Acquisition: schedule interviews, manage job posting logistics and applicant tracking system updates, and support pre‑employment checks.
  • Serve as the dedicated People partner for Selling Assistants and Customer Experience Coordinators — building trusted relationships, advising on day‑to‑day people matters, and escalating complex ER issues as appropriate.
  • Provide administrative and project support to the PBP leadership team, coordinating meetings, timelines, trackers and team resources.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, administrative, or operations support roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism handling confidential employee information.
  • Clear, polished written and verbal communication consistent with a luxury brand environment.
  • Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with ownership of deliverables.
  • Preferred: prior experience in retail, luxury or hospitality; familiarity with HRIS platforms and recruiting processes.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related field, or equivalent experience.
