Fifth Avenue Club is hiring a Club Assistant in New York, NY to deliver exceptional member service and support front-of-house operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and register members and their guests; manage arrivals and departures with professional, discreet service.
- Operate the reservations and seating system for club spaces, private dining and member events; coordinate bookings with F&B and events teams.
- Provide concierge-style assistance: coordinate transportation, reservations, deliveries and external vendors on behalf of members.
- Support planning and execution of member events, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure flawless delivery.
- Maintain accurate member records, process payments and reconcile daily transactions in accordance with club procedures.
- Handle telephone and written enquiries, responding promptly and escalating issues to senior staff when required.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding members and club operations; represent the club’s standards of discretion and professionalism.
- Perform general administrative duties including correspondence, filing, inventory checks and opening/closing procedures.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in luxury hospitality, private clubs, concierge or front-of-house roles.
- Proven track record of exceptional client service and the ability to anticipate high-net-worth clients’ needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; polished phone manner and professional presentation.
- Strong numerical skills and experience handling cash, POS systems and basic reconciliation.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by club operations.
- Authorization to work in the United States (if applicable) and ability to pass background checks.
