Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute category growth strategies for women's ready-to-wear, identifying opportunities across assortment, price architecture and channel mix to maximise top-line and margin.
  • Create and maintain range architecture and seasonal assortment plans aligned to the merchandising calendar and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor sell-through, inventory velocity and full-price performance; recommend pricing, allocation and markdown strategies to optimise sell-out and stock turn.
  • Partner with buyers, planners, wholesale and retail teams to translate commercial targets into actionable product and allocation decisions.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and regular performance reports; present insights and trade-offs to senior stakeholders to inform assortment and promotional decisions.
  • Conduct market, competitor and trend analysis to inform assortment decisions and seasonal buys; surface white-space opportunities and risk.
  • Support new product introductions, capsule launches and key account assortments to ensure consistent brand positioning and commercial delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing, visual merchandising and e-commerce to align promotional calendars, storytelling and merchandising execution across channels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Economics or a related field; postgraduate coursework in merchandising or retail desirable.
  • Proven commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to translate data into assortment and pricing decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; experience influencing cross-functional teams including buying, planning, wholesale and marketing.
  • Excellent analytical proficiency with attention to numerical detail and P&L awareness.
