Ex Nihilo in Paris seeks a Beauty Advisor to deliver bespoke fragrance consultations and drive boutique sales for the maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised fragrance consultations and sensory experiences to clients, translating brand storytelling into tailored product recommendations.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets while maximising average transaction value through cross‑selling and upselling of complementary products.
- Manage client relationships and follow-up through proactive clienteling: maintain accurate client records, recommend reorders and coordinate bespoke requests.
- Execute boutique floor operations including visual merchandising, replenishment, stock control, sample management and daily cash reconciliation.
- Represent the brand at in-store events and product launches, supporting experiential initiatives and cultivating long‑term client loyalty.
- Maintain expert product and fragrance knowledge, participate in training sessions, and share insights with the retail team to elevate service standards.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience in luxury beauty, perfumery or cosmetics; typically 1+ years in boutique or department store environment preferred.
- Impeccable service standards with a client-focused demeanour and polished presentation appropriate for a luxury maison.
- Strong consultative selling skills, with demonstrable ability to build rapport and close sales in one-to-one interactions.
- Comfortable handling transactional processes, stock control and routine administrative tasks related to boutique operations.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including evenings and weekends; language skills and additional beauty certifications are advantageous.

Preferably at least one year of hands-on experience in luxury beauty or perfumery retail; experience in boutique or department store settings is advantageous.
Education
