Saks Global Associate, Buying Operations role in India; process purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, manage order tracking and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders (POs) accurately and timely using relevant systems and tools
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies
- Prioritize orders based on urgency, business needs, and established service level agreements (SLAs)
- Maintain internal trackers and databases to monitor order statuses, delivery schedules, and associated costs
- Support the onboarding of new vendors by collecting required documentation and establishing records
- Generate and assist in producing reports on buying activity, order accuracy, and vendor compliance
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and flag delays or exceptions to relevant stakeholders
- Liaise between US Buying offices, vendors, and Leadership team to maintain operational continuity
- Create and document best practices for buying operations workflows
- Maintain workflow dashboards and reporting of key business metrics
- Execute special projects and tasks as assigned by management

Skills
Experience
Relevant experience in buying operations, procurement, or supply chain coordination is preferred. Experience with vendor management and order processing in a retail or wholesale environment is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field is preferred.
